The BasX A-500 produces 110W (RMS) per channel, with THD less than 0.1%, into 8 ohms (with two channels driven). The THD+N is less than 0.02%; with an SNR (signal to noise ratio) of 120 dB when referenced at full power. To set-up the amplifier, use the industry standard removable heavy duty power cable, plug it into your power outlet, connect the amplifier to a preamplifier, is you use one, or a processor then connect your speakers to the system and you are ready to sit back and enjoy the music. Setting up the BasX A-500 is so simple it will automatically calculate your power voltage and adjust itself accordingly. Plus, the versatility and simplicity extends to the speakers outlets, which are five-way heavy duty so they can accept banana connectors, bare wires, or spade lugs.

Solid Engineering

Even if you have difficult speakers, the A-500 will handle them with ease, due to its linear power supply, that is heavy duty using a large oversized toroidal power transformer that delivers plenty of power. The BasX units are all designed with top quality components, and constructed in such a way as to give you years of reliable service. The chassis is formed from heavy-duty steel, with a milled aluminium faceplate that not only gives the amplifier great strength but also and rugged good looks. The circuits in the amplifier are double-sided (FR4) with through holes that minimises the signal path without the need for point-to-point wiring.

Signal Connections

The connections for the interconnects are unbalanced industry standard RCA, to handle all standard unbalanced interconnects. The speakers inputs are highly versatile being five-way, insulated that facilitates the use of a wide range of cables having either bare wires, lugs, or banana plugs. Plus, the inputs and outputs can be automatically triggered allowing BasX A-500's to be controlled or control other trigger-enabled equipment.
